Stand-alone Safety Configurations

The KE4 safety controller is a good fit for safety systems that have traditionally required a small number of conventional safety relays. As a member of the Safety at Work solutions family, it's configured using the SIMON+ visual drag & drop interface. Here, you can learn about basic safety configurations using e-stops, door interlock switches, magnetic safety switches and safety light curtains connected to the safe inputs on the safety controller.

If your setup has more safe devices, the KE4 expansion port can be used to increase the controls and I/O capacity by almost a factor of 10. If you want to use the expansion port, step-by-step configuration examples and videos are also available.

You can start by watching these step-by-step videos and downloading the matching example configuration files.
