Using the Expansion Port

For applications where there aren't enough onboard safe inputs on the KE4 safety controller, the integrated expansion port is used to increase the control capacity manifold. With the ability to add safety devices as well as non-safe I/O like pushbutton modules and stack lights, the safety controller is able to completely control medium-size safety systems. And since the safety controller is a mini safety PLC, it can control the safety system as well as all non-safe aspects of a small machine.

If your setup doesn't use the expansion port, step-by-step configuration examples and videos are also available.

You can start by watching the step-by-step videos and downloading the configuration files.
